Midwesco Filter is an authorized distributor of the SPI coating products line for industrial insulation, fire and corrosion control.  Our product distribution includes Super Therm®, HPC Coating, Rust Grip®, and Lining Kote. 
 
Rust Grip® is a unique one part moisture cure polyurethane enamel product that holds a worldwide patent (#5,695,812)  on the encapsulation of corrosion, rust, lead based paint, asbestos and other bio-hazardous materials.  Rust Grip® requires minimal surface preparation and NO WHITE METAL SANDBLASTING.  It performs as both primer and top coat in a true, high performance one coat system.

The product utilizes light weight molecular solvent agents to carry the body of the coating deep into the pores of the substrate.  Once there, Rust Grip® pulls moisture from the air, expands and gases itself -- locking down on the substrate to effectively become one with the substrate.  This results in an unbroken barrier against air and moisture penetration.  Upon a full cure term of 30 days, Rust Grip® hardens to an incredible 12,000 psi surface tensile strength.  When fully cured, Rust Grip® maintains very low permeability, which eliminates the penetration of moisture, salt, and acid which in turn removes the opportunity for rust to form.
 
For applications that require a lower Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) we offer Rust Grip® 1000.  
 
HPC™  is a light density ceramic thermal barrier insulation coating that is designed to stop conductive heat transfer.  It is a water-borne ceramic based flexible membrane coating that can be used in high temperature applications up to 700oF (371oC).  

HPC CoatingThis insulation method is much different than the traditional “wrap” insulation materials that only slow down the loss of heat (known as an R rating or “heat transfer”). The four ceramic compounds used create a barrier to catch and hold heat on the surface of the unit—be it pipe, furnace surface, boiler, etc. Unlike wraps that use air as the insulation component, the ceramic compounds in HPC™ Coating resist absorbing heat trying to come off the surface to escape. This traps and holds the heat onto the surface for more effective insulation performance thus eliminating the creation of corrosion under insulation or CUI.

Super Therm® is a ceramic based, water-borne, insulating coating, designed to block heat load, moisture penetrationSuper Therm Application, and air infiltration over a surface to reduce energy costs. Lining Kote protects against the harshest acids, bases, chemicals and solvents with Lining Kote. Lining-Kote's two-part high-molecular epoxy composition provides durable and flexible protection. Lining Kote is made with a high molecular weight base and cure for strength and durability. Lining Kote is designed to withstand the toughest acid, chemical or solvent environments.  It is ideal for petrochemical plants, chemical storage, ballast tanks and more.  Lining Kote has outstanding adhesion and extended durability that withstands direct impact, resistant to water, humidity, chemical compositions and temperatures up to  350°F (176°C).

Moist Metal Grip is designed for application on dry or wet surfaces for protection against corrosion and chemicals in a two-part epoxy coating.  It is a water repelling epoxy for use under water or in areas where constant splashing or condensation is a problem. Moist Metal Grip contains specific additives for application on dry or wet surfaces and for protection against corrosion and chemicals. Moist Metal Grip was developed to be applied to metal surfaces that cannot be dry enough to use Rust Grip®.  Moist Metal Grip is EU certified for potable water usage and approved by European standards.  It is tested to withstand temperatures up to 350°F (176°C) and for 450 hours of salt spray exposure.

Enamo Grip provides a permanent, protective membrane that stops water penetration, preventing surface deterioration, contamination and development of mold and mildew.  Enamo Grip is a two-part aliphatic polyurethane enamel available in clear and colors. It forms a uniquely hard and durable coating film, which demonstrates unsurpassed semi-glass and color retention, as well as chalk resistance when used in exterior applications. It is resistant to water and humidity, stains, acids, solvents and chemicals, as well as having tremendous scuff, mar and impact resistance. Enamo Grip will self-level to an even and smooth finish.
