Repairs/Rebuild of Fire Damaged Unit. A Mid-Atlantic paper products manufacturer, who operates a coal-fired boiler with six-module reverse air baghouse, experienced a disastrous fire in one of the six modules. As the preferred filter bag and service provider on record, Midwesco Filter was contacted to assist the power plant to get back online. Within 48 hours of the initial call, Midwesco Filter was onsite working closely with the customer and its insurance carrier. Field measurements and original drawings were compared. Gutting of the imploded module began soon thereafter. Engineered drawings were produced for customer approval and review. Within a few short weeks, fabrication of the replacement module began and new filter bags, springs, and related module accessories were specified, produced, and delivered.
